A magical world where warm cooking brings forgotten hearts back to life. A girl who longs to keep her parents' warmth, and a little doll fallen from the stars, fill a recipe book together — this is their story.
Her parents' last warmth, and Maple in a slump
After losing her parents in an accident, our heroine Maple is left all alone. Sunk in grief, she discovers a wall in her parents' restaurant covered with countless slips of paper, short notes left behind by customers saying things like, 'A delicious meal made me happy today.' In that moment, the restaurant feels like the one place where her parents are still alive. Closing its doors would mean extinguishing their last lingering warmth, so she decides to take over the restaurant herself.
But reality is not as kind as she hoped. She tries to hold onto the belief that good food can make people happy, yet the wall in front of her is high, and the daily grind of running a restaurant wears her down.
No matter how faithfully she recreates her parents' recipes, something always feels 'missing' from the taste, and eventually Maple sinks into a slump. The more she struggles, the brighter she smiles in front of her customers, hiding her loneliness and exhaustion from everyone around her.
But when she is alone, she finds herself sighing more and more often in a quiet corner of the kitchen, until she reaches a breaking point and begins to wonder whether she should close the restaurant for good.

One day, a familiar guest visited Mellow Kitchen. It was the elder, leader of the Doll Star. Before he could even sit down, Maple asked him a question. About Muffin's story, and whether the fate that befell her mother's doll would also be repeated for Muffin. The elder was silent for a moment. Then he slowly opened his mouth.

Enter the Dream Recipe Book
What the Captain held out was an unfamiliar book. It was different from the recipe books they knew. This wasn't simply a book that recorded recipes to make someone happy. It was a cookbook for creating and recording Dream Foods, which could only be completed when Maple's cooking skills were combined with Muffin's plushie-star magic (starlight energy and dream powder).
