    Cut the apples, add sugar, and cook them down into a compote.

    Fill the rested pie dough with the sweet compote and bake it in the oven!

    When it turns a beautiful golden color, it's done.

Hazel's apples are always so sweet, it's downright romantic! Maybe it's because Hazel grew them?

Chef's note

Keep an eye on the apple compote as you cook it. If it cooks too long, it'll turn mushy, so be careful!
